The politicians argument is flawed because he is going off of events that have happened only right after passing the law, so there is no definitive proof nor scientific study proving that the law increasing taxes have caused these robberies. It may only be a coincidence that these robberies have occurred after the law passed, because if a person is going to rob a bank most of the time it is premeditated and thought out in depth before it happens.
