It is said that Lao-Tze (Daoism) was the one who taught Confucius (Confucianism) and that both Daoism and Confucianism complement each other, whereas Lao-Tze is considered to be the one who spoke of the mystical or invisible aspects and Confucius a realist and moral philosopher who preferred not to. speak of the invisible things and that established a system of moral axioms and not religious dogmas. According to Confucius' teachings, human conduct must be just and man's relationship with God and the universe would happen on its own. According to Lao-Tze man should seek to harmonize with the universal principle (Tao) through his own Tao, and that right human conduct would follow.
