The naming system used for classification of organisms is known as Linnaean taxonomy. This has been created by Carl Linnaeus, the Father of Taxonomy. This is the scientific method of classifying living organisms with the use of what we call as binomial nomenclature or the combination of a genus name and the organism’s species. With Linnaean taxonomy, it has a ranked hierarchy as follows: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species
