There are number of ways people participated in the Second Great Awakening, one is the religious movement where the preachers such as Charles Finney traveled from town to town to lecture about eradicating sin and having camp meetings or gatherings to practice their religion and also the non-believers. Another one is the temperance movement where people are encouraged to abstain from alcohol. And third is the abolition movement, a movement to fought abolish slavery in America.
