The Himalaya Mountains were built when two plates in the earth's crust collided, millions of years ago. The place where two plates collide and build a new surface feature like these mountains is called a fault.
B) Fault.
Fault-block ranges are developed by the movement of large crustal blocks when forces in the Earth's crust pull it aside. Some parts of the Earth are accelerated upward and others drop downwards. The surface of the Earth can impel along these faults, and dismiss rock layers on both sides.
Reverse faults, also described as thrust faults, slide one block of crust on top of another. These faults are usually found in collisions zones, where tectonic plates force up mountains such as the Himalayas and the Rocky Mountains. All faults are associated with the evolution of Earth's tectonic plates.
