Internal forces are anything within an organization and its striation that drives change. Some examples are system changes, administrative procedures, building changes, technology changes, and not meeting profit margins. There are a number of ways things within an organization can change how it functions and it's best to figure out the issues and fix them before they can cause a negative impact.
There are two main forces in an organization that can affect and force it to change. One is the External Force and the other is Internal Force.
There are many Internal forces that can drive an organization towards change. These Internal Forces may include, Deficiencies in the existing System, Crisis, Changes in work Climate, Declining Effectiveness, Changes in the Management level, Employees Expectations, etc.
So these all are the forces that can drive an organization towards change.
Taking Declining Effectiveness as an example of the internal force for the current question, we can see that when effectiveness of the organizational work declines, it drives the organization to make changes that would increase the effectiveness.
