Sternberg suggests that there are three types of intelligences and his theory is known as the triarchic theory of intelligence.
According to the triarchic theory of intelligence, there are three main types of intelligence humans possess. They are:
i) Practical intelligence- How "street smart" someone is. The ability of people to navigate through new environments and day-to-day life hurdles.
ii) Creative intelligence- Ability to be innovative and come up with new ideas and solutions.
iii) Analytical intelligence- Intelligence when it comes to academics, critical thinking and reasoning.
