They claimed they were just following orders

The Nuremberg Trials took place in Germany form 1945 to 1946; here some Nazi superios were accused and tried as war criminals by the International Military Tribunal. The charges were:

- Crimes against peace

- Crimes against humanity

- War crimes

- A common plan of conspiracy to commit the criminal acts listed before.

The most popular defense was called the "Superior Order" or "Nuremberg Defense", the Nazi officials claimed that they followed orders fo their superiors and were bound by it. The trial rejected such justification stating that they should have been abel to make a difference between justified and unjustified orders, therefore they should have not followed those orders as they saw they were wrong.
