Respuesta :

Saladin was the great commander of the Muslim Army that recaptured Jerusalem. This would set off the call for another crusade, the 3rd Crusade, aka the Kings' Crusade. This was the Crusade that King Richard the Lionheart of Britain would set out on. Saladin and Richard would agree to terms in regard to allowing access to the Holy City for unarmed pilgrims.
Ultimately, Richard would die during his return to England. He would not regain the Holy City. Saladin would later die shortly after Richard left.
