BACTERIOPHAGES
Tranduction is the process by which a virus can transfer the genetic material o another bacteria. Viruses called as bacteriophages can infect and use bacteria as a host. The virus will multiply and remove a portion of the host's cell DNA. The bacteriophage will later on infect new bacteria and the piece of DNA from the previous bacteria will be incorporated to the genome of the new host. There are various types of transduction, this can be generalized or specialized.
