The id is defined as the part of the mind and personality that is unconscious to us. It is the primitive part of our mind that houses our sexual and aggressive urges. Freud claimed that the id is something humans possess from birth itself. The id is only concerned about satisfying our hunger, thirst and the need for comfort.
