I struggle with being an optimistic person myself but when i do try and be optimistic about situations i find I stress less and feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. People who are optimistic are more committed to their goals, are more successful in achieving their goals, are more satisfied with their lives, and have better mental and physical health. Overall its just better for your health so you live a longer happier life. It's hard sometimes to find optimism in certain situations but trying to and believing it'll get better or talking it out and thinking of positive options is very helpful to yourself and those around you.
