Worcester versus Georgia is the case that happened among the non-native
Americans for living in the Cherokee territory without a license. Samuel A.
Worcester along with these non-native Americans were also accused of not
supporting the laws of the state of Georgia. However, the Supreme Court ruled
out that “The Cherokee nation is residing within its own territory” rendering
Georgia’s statute as void. The Cherokee was considered a different nation thus rendering
Georgia powerless over the people of Cherokee.
