ANSWER: Music is also referred to as a 'Universal Language' because it is understood and felt by everyone. To understand music, a person doesn't need to belong from any particular country or caste or religion or class. A joyful music makes everyone happy whereas a sad music will make everyone sad. Composers often take inspiration from music or composers in other part of the world. A music created in USA may also get popular in Japan. That is the power of music.

Music has sometimes been referred to as a “universal language.” This is because:

  • Music can be heard and appreciated by anybody

Music is the form of expression using sounds, rhyths, chords, etc to create harmony.

As a result of this, anybody can enjoy different forms of music such as:

  • High life
  • Afro beats
  • Classical
  • Hip Hop, etc.

I agree with the saying that music is a universal language because a person can understand and even enjoy music because it is universally accepted.
