Respuesta :

The Beat Generation was the literary and cultural movement that rejected the decade's social conformity. The Beats influenced the American culture after the World War II era. This was a time when society was trying to build back conformity and capitalism to its people. The Beat Generation did not accept this to happen and they influenced people to reject standard narrative values, go on spiritual quests, explore American and Eastern religions, and most especially the rejection of materialism, among others.

In addition, this was also the time when experimentations on psychedelic drugs, sexual liberation and exploration were rampant among the people of the United States.
