The Puritan religion believed in several things such as:
- God passes judgement on people
- People are predestined to be saved
- Humans are born sinners
The Puritans believed that based on the way people lived, they would either be punished by, or rewarded by God. Sinners would be punished and the pious would be spared.
Puritans also believed that when people are born, it is already known by the heavens whether that person would go to heaven or hell. Finally, they also believed that as a result of Adam and Eve sinning, all humans are sinners until they receive salvation.
In conclusion, the Puritans had several beliefs that they defended vigorously.
