The severity of an electric shock depends on following factors:

a) Amperage
i.e. the amount or strength of electric current passing through the body. A larger magnitude of current causes more damage. Large amount of current can cause the organs to burn and ultimately causing death.

b) Duration of the exposure
The duration of exposure to shock is the second factor. If we are exposed to the shock for a longer duration, it will cause more harm as compared to when exposure is short lived.

c) Pathway of electric current in the body
Pathway of electric current matters. If the current passes through the vital body organs and damages them e.g. heart it may lead to death.

Thus the A option from the question is correct answer.
