Lilia, her mother, and father live in New England; her parents are originally from India, and like to connect with people who have similar cultural background. Mr. Pirzada comes to America from Dacca to study the foliage of New England. The family learns of Mr. Pirzada and invites him to dinner every night. While Pirzada is in America war breaks out in his home country of Pakistan. He is very worried about his wife and seven daughters, whom he left behind. While eating dinner every night, they watch the news and keep up to date with the war.
