The main function/purpose of a school board is to regulate costs, rules, and the curriculum that is going to be taught. School boards are used to help budget supplies, food, etc. as well as regulate the rules that are going to be used in the schools (such as a zero tolerance bullying policy) and determine the curriculum the teachers will be teaching and in what order.
