It already cuts the figure into a rectangle and a triangle, just find the measurements and use the formulas.

Rectangle:
Length: 10
Width: 6

[tex]\sf A=l\times w[/tex]

[tex]\sf A=10\times 6[/tex]

[tex]\sf A=60[/tex]

Triangle:
Base: 10
Height: 5

[tex]\sf A=\dfrac{1}{2}bh[/tex]

[tex]\sf A=\dfrac{1}{2}(10)(5)[/tex]

[tex]\sf A=25[/tex]

Add the two areas to get the area of the entire figure.

[tex]\sf 60+25=\boxed{\sf 85}[/tex]
