Ancient Greek architecture can be seen around the world. One of the most popular places where we see Greek architecture is in Washington DC. For example, the White House (where the President lives) and the US Supreme Court have ionic style columns, which originated with the Greeks. Ionic columns were staples of Greek architecture, along with Doric and Corinthian.
Besides in the US, Greek architecture helped to inspire the Romans. The style of columns used by the Greeks were taken by the Romans and modified. Famous Roman buildings, like the Roman Colosseum, have columns that are very similar to the ones seen in Greek architecture.
