All objects that have mass have gravity, and gravity pulls objects toward each other. A pencil has mass, and so does your hand. Yet a pencil drops to the floor when you let go of it. Why doesn't the pencil stick to your hand instead?

Respuesta :

Because the gravity pulls the pencil down when you drop it. The reason why it doesn't drop while you have a grip on it is because you're holding onto it, not allowing the force of gravity to pull it down. However, when you let it go or open your hand and allow it to fall out, the pencil is facing the forces of gravity.
