Julie uses crystals to make a bracelet. The lengths are; 1/2 , 5/8 , 3/4 , 1/2, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 3/8, 5/8, 1/2, 3/8, 5/8, 3/4.

Please explain as much as possible. I have a quiz tomorrow and I need to pass it.

6) 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 = 4/2 = 2 inches.
7)  5/8 + 5/8 + 5/8 = 15/8 = 1 7/8 inches.
8)  We've added the 1/2-inch crystals together and the 5/8-inch crystals together.  Adding together the 3/4-inch crystals we have:
3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4 = 9/4 = 2 1/4 inches
Adding together the 3/8-inch crystals we have:
3/8 + 3/8 + 3/8 = 9/8 = 1 1/8 inches.
Totaling what we have:
2 + 1 7/8 + 2 1/4 + 1 1/8
= 2 + 1 7/8 + 2 2/8 + 1 1/8 (you can only add fractions if they have common denominators)
= 6 + 7/8 + 2/8 + 1/8 (add the whole numbers together)
= 6 10/8 = 6 + 1 2/8 = 7 2/8 = 7 1/4 inches.
9)  To find an average, we add all of the data points together and divide by the number of data points.  We added them in number 8.  Now we divide this total, 7 1/4, by 13:
7 1/4 ÷ 13 = 29/4 ÷ 13/1 = 29/4 × 1/13 = 29/52 inches average for the crystals.
