Sperms are the male gametes which fuse with the egg of the females to produced the zygote. The structure of the sperm is made up of the head containing the nucleus, neck containing the centriole, middle piece containing the moitochondria and the tail or the flagellum.
Lysosomes are characteristic to animal cells. The head of the sperm is surrounded by the acrosome which secretes lysosomal enzymes. These enzymes are involved in the digestion of the vitellin layer of the ovum facilitating the fusion of the sperm and the ovum.
