Factorise 3x squared + 5x + 2

3x²+5x+2
the factor of 3 is 1 and 3, the factors of 2 is 1 and 2. 
line them up this way:
1    1
3    2
multiply them diagonally and add up the products: 1*2+1*3=5, exactly what we need for 5x, so the factored form is (x+1)(3x+2)
