JUDICIAL REVIEW is the Supreme Court's evaluation of the constitutionality of laws passed by Congress or State legislatures.
During the Judicial Review, the Supreme Court will validate whether the laws that were passed are in accordance to the constitution. This is one form of check and balance among the three branches. The Supreme Court ensures that the powers vested on the Legislature were not abused in making and passing new laws.
