Stephen was helping make party bags for his little brother’s party. They have to make a total of 10 party bags. They had 34 toy cars to place in the party bags and want to make sure each child received the same number of toy cars. How many cars did each child receive? What does the remainder mean in this problem?
firstly we need to find the biggest number which is less than 34 and can be divided into 10 -- which is 30. Each child will receive 30/10=3 party bag and 34-30=4 >> 4 is the remainder mean.
