Which of the following is the correct order of the steps in translation?

activation, elongation, initiation, termination

initiation, activation, elongation, termination

activation, initiation, elongation, termination

elongation, activation, initiation, termination

Respuesta :

The correct order of steps in translation is activation, Initiation, elongation and termination. 1.Activation- The correct amino acid is joined to the correct transfer RNA (tRNA). Though in strict sense this is not a step in translation, nevertheless it is required for translation to proceed. 2.Initiation- the small subunit of the ribosome binds to the 5' end of mRNA with the help of initiation factors. 3. Elongation- next tRNA in line binds to the ribosome. 4. Termination- Occurs when the A-site of the ribosome faces a stop codon
