Sundiata Keita is the great warrior king, called "lion Prince" and he rules Mali from 1230-1255. He was a great warrior and seized the country of Ghana and started the kingdom called Mali. Sundiata was not physically fit or rather crippled during his childhood and so his mother had to face the ridicules from the co-wives. This had a huge effect in Sundiata's mind and he thought that he would do everything possible to become a true successor to his predecessors. This determination helped him to overcome his physical barriers and he started walking one day. Slowly he not only walked but ultimately became a great warrior and leader.
