For centuries, historians, philosophers, and others have pondered the question of the origin of the state. Using what you have learned, contrast two theories of the origin of the state.
Possibly the first theory regarding the state is that a God is the creator of the king which is divinely responsible for the state.  Another Theory regards the Origin as one of Patriarchal nature. Where the state is derived from a single males power which is passed down through children and marriage to a number of powerful families.
