Women who become pregnant for the first time at a later reproductive age such as 35 or older are more susceptible to miscarriages and their babies are more likely to be born prematurely. They are more likely to experience a stillbirth or bleeding complications. Their babies have a higher chance of suffering birth defects like r.etardation due to chromosome imbalance.
