Respuesta :

distribute the numbers outside the parenthesis to it's corresponding parenthesis

3(c-2) = 3c - 6
2(c-6) = 2c - 12

3c - 6 = 2c - 12

now move all the numbers to one side, and the ones with variables to the other

3c (-2c) - 6 (+6) = 2c (-2c) - 12 (+6)

c = -6

c = -6  is your answer

hope this helps
First, use the distributive formula: a(b - c) = ab - ac
3(c - 2) = 2(c - 6)
3c - 6 = 2c - 12
Then, subtract 2c from both sides
3c - 2c - 6 = 2c - 2c - 12
c - 6 = -12
Then, add 6 to both sides
c - 6 + 6 = -12 + 6
Then simplify,
c = -6
