Read the passage.

And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight ‘twould win me…

In the excerpt from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “Kubla Kahn,” which event does the narrator want to repeat?

the vision he saw of Mount Abora

the voices that Kubla Khan told him he had heard

the sound of a woman’s singing and playing

the sound that he heard in the caves of ice

Description

Respuesta :

If it’s on only these five lines, I would say the answer is, the sound of a woman’s singing and playing. But before these lines, the poem was an entirely different vision. If I looked at the poem as a whole I would say the answer is the vision he saw of Mt. Abora. As it was an opium experience, I would think if I went through it I would want the other person to somewhat experience what I went through as a whole, not the one excerpt. Hope that all makes sense

The excerpt from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “Kubla Kahn,” the event does the narrator want to repeat would be the sound of a woman’s singing and playing.

Hope this answer helps :)
