If you are administering an oral acetaminophen dose of 480. mg from a bottle at a concentration of 32.0 mg/mL , how many milliliters of the solution do you need to give the patient?
could you show the steps on how you solved it.

Respuesta :

The formula is:
[tex]c = \frac{m}{v} [/tex]
Where c is the concentration, m is the mass and v is the volume.

C=32.0mg/ml, M= 240.0mg

Your going to transpose to find v from the formula:

[tex]c = \frac{m}{v} [/tex]

Multiply by v you'll get

[tex]c \times v = \frac{m}{v} \times v \\ cv = m[/tex]

Divide by c you'll get

[tex]cv = m \\ \frac{cv}{c} = \frac{m}{c} \\ v = \frac{m}{c} [/tex]

Plug in the values of m and c

[tex]v \: = \frac{m}{c} \\ v = \frac{240.0 \: mg}{32 \: mg {ml}^{ - 1} } [/tex]

V =7.5 mL
