PLEASE ANSWER ASAP !!! IM TAKIN A QUIZ

A. Graph the functions f(x) and g(x) on the same coordinate plane. You may use technology to create the graph of the functions or submit a handwritten graph.
B. In two or more complete sentences, explain how to use the graphs of f(x) and g(x) to prove that the functions are inverses of each other.

the full problem is : f(x) = 2x + 5,g(x)= x-5/2

Answer:

A) graph shown in figure-1

B) The functions f(x) and g(x)  are inverses of each other.

Step-by-step explanation:

A ) The graph of f(x) and g(x) is shown in figure-1,

the graph f(x) = 2x + 5 is shown by blue colored line and [tex]g(x)= \frac{x-5}{2}[/tex]

B) To check the function f(x) is inverse of g(x), we put the value of g(x) in f(x)

[tex]f(x) = 2\frac{x-5}{2} + 5[/tex]

[tex]f(x) = x-5 + 5[/tex]

[tex]f(x) = x[/tex]

now, put the value of f(x) in g(x)

[tex]g(x)= \frac{2x + 5-5}{2}[/tex]

[tex]g(x)= \frac{2x}{2}[/tex]

[tex]g(x)= x[/tex]

This shows that, The functions f(x) and g(x)  are inverses of each other.
