During spermatogenesis, what is the name of the cell that develops immediately prior to the formation of a complete sperm cell? During spermatogenesis, the blank develops immediately prior to the formation of a complete sperm cell.

Respuesta :

so an during production of sperm an a daughter cell splits along with another cell called the spermatocyte. the a daughter cell now continues the stem cell formation.... so the spermatocyte begins the next process. once the spermatocyte splits via meiosis, it produces 4 haploid spermatids. Spermatids contain 23 chromosomes.
then eventually the spermatids go under a streaming process that strips excess cytoplasm which makes it a sperm.

this is the process of spermiogenesis
