Jorge wants to plant 70 total flowers in his new garden.He wants the ratio of tulips to daisies in his garden to be 2 to 5. He does not want to take any flower out of his garden. How many of what type of flower should he plant in order to get the desired ratio?How many daisies?

Respuesta :

Add the ratio together:  2 + 5 = 7
Divide this by the total number of plants;
70/7 = 10

Now times the ration by this number:
2:5 becomes 20:50 (times by 10)
This tells us we have 20 tulips as 50 daisies

You will have 100 Daisies

2/5 = 40/d

d= 100 Daisies

Hope I helped, please comment and correct me if i'm wrong with an explanation on how to properly do it. Thank you!
