One neuron to all the skeletal muscle it stimulates is called a "motor unit". A motor unit is the basic functional element of the skeletal system. A stimulated motor neuron moves a motor unit but the movement is apparent when groups of motor units are activated by neurons (called a motor pool).
When one takes together a neuron and all of the skeletal muscles which it can stimulate, the collective package is known in anatomy as a "motor unit". This is a key building block of human muscular function and motor control, with numerous motor units working together to create the actions that we perform each day.
