Most abundant formed elements of the blood is red blood cells.
In blood there are three formed elements:1) Red blood cells - Nearly half of the blood's volume is red blood cells.
2) White blood cells - the normal white cell count is usually between 4·10⁹/L and 11·10⁹/L.3) Platelets (thrombocytes) - the ratio of platelets to red blood cells in a healthy adult ranges from 1:10 to 1:20.
