I got 0.55 when I did this problem. If I am wrong I am so sorry and please correct me.
we are given
two legs measure 6 inches and 9 units
theta is the angle between the 6-inch leg
we can find hypotenuse
[tex] hypotenuse=\sqrt{6^2+9^2} [/tex]
[tex] hypotenuse=3\sqrt{13} [/tex]
now, we can draw triangle
we will get
[tex] opposite=9 [/tex]
now, we can use sin formula
[tex] sin(\theta)=\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} [/tex]
now, we can plug values
[tex] sin(\theta)=\frac{9}{3\sqrt{13}} [/tex]
we can find approximate value using calculator
and we get
[tex] sin(\theta)=0.83 [/tex]..................Answer
