If a cell is said to be diploid, it means it has 2 complete sets of chromosomes. In human, examples are body cells. If the cell is said to be haploid, it means that it has only a single unpaired set. It has half of the chromosome numbers than the diploid cells. In humans, these haploid cells are found in gametes for reproduction.
