Intermolecular force that can occur in H₂ and H₂O?

Dipole-dipole forces is a type of attractive intermolecular forces that can occur in hydrogen(H₂) and water(H₂O).

Dipole-dipole forces are electrostatic interactions of permanent dipoles of different molecules.
Dipole are two opposite electric charges closely spaced to each other. Molecules that contain dipoles are called polar molecules like water (H₂O). The dipole-dipole forces give the water its property of having high surface tension.

Hydrogen bonds is a type of dipole-dipole forces. These forces occur between hydrogen (H₂) and either oxygen, fluorine, or nitrogen.
