I am assuming the expression is (2x-3)(x+5) or (2x-3)(x-5). I will teach you how to solve for both as I am not sure which one you are asking for. There are 4 steps to multiplying.
1) Multiply the x times the second x
2) Multiply x times the second number
3) Multiply the number by the second x
4) Multiply the number by the second number.
(2x*x)+(2x*5)+(-3*x)+(-3*5)=(2[tex] x^{2} [/tex])+(10x)+(-3x)+(-15)=2[tex] x^{2} [/tex]+7x-15
(2x*x)+(2x*-5)+(-3*x)+(-3*-5)=(2[tex] x^{2} [/tex])+(-10x)+(-3x)+(15)=2[tex] x^{2} [/tex]-13x+15
Your answer is 2[tex] x^{2} [/tex]+7x-15 or 2[tex] x^{2} [/tex]-13x+15. Does that answer your question?
