An important consequence of global warming is that as the icy continents melt and over the past century the oceans have raised over twenty yards. And that is making the coastal cities and states have more of a chance of being flooded from rain and other natural disasters (hurricanes, tidal-waves, or tsunamis etc.) and worst part is global warming is one of the things that us homo-sapiens created because we are always polluting the environment (using things like cars that emit some type of gas form out of them, smoking cigarettes, and using things that put out carbon dioxide which is the most number one pollutant because it burning a hole through our ozone layer which is the layer that protects your skin from being burnt by the UV rays from the sun.
