La Befana is known as a wise and magical woman who arrives flying on a broom or donkey, bringing gifts to the children, leaving figs, dates, nuts, and candy on the eve of the Epiphany in Italy.
She is an Italian folklore that is like Santa clause in our couture she delivers gfts to kids on january 5th (epiphany eve) her name is thought to be derived from the Feast of Epiphany (or Itlian La Festa dell'Epifania)
