He is not in an abusive relation ship from what you told me but he dosent need confidence he needs to be straight with him self and take that girls out if she dosent like him or ends up not having fun then instead of wasting his life with her go out and do something he likes and dump her or take some time off or away from her and come back when hes confiedent
