Confucious believed that social order, harmony, and good government could be restored in China if society were organized around five basic relationships. 

The most influential of the philosophers was Confucius. Confucius believed that the rulers of that time had tried to develop a society based on the example of great personal virtue. He believed that the key to peaceful society and a well-run government was order in the family. Confucianism, as the followers of Confucius became know, focused on human morality and good deeds. Confucianism is a system of moral, social, political, philosophical, and religious thought. Confucius established a code of behavior which influenced the culture and history of East Asia.
