This was not true at all he wanted to keep them so he could eat them one by one.

C. The Cyclops thought the Cyclopes were more powerful than the gods, but the Greeks believed that humans were not as powerful as the gods.

This is also not true they thought gods were most powerful and there creater/father was Poseidon the god of sea in which Odysseus men were all killed by Poseidon at sea for killing his son the cyclops.
