This is a model of a Chlorine atom. How likely is it that this atom would want to bond with another atom? Chlorine atom Question 6 options:
A.This atom is very likely to bond with another atom.
B.This atom is only slightly likely to bond with another atom.
C.This atom is not likely at all to bond with another atom.

Respuesta :

I believe it is very likely to bond with another atom because it only has 7 valence electrons in its outer shell. To complete the outer shell, to bond with another atom, it needs to have eight, or a multiple of 8 electrons in the outermost shell or valence shell. Hope this helps!
