You are in a cabin and it is pitch black. You have one match on you. Which do you light first, the newspaper, the lamp, the candle or the fire?

The candle. 

It has a wick, so it'll stay lit until you can light the newspaper for the fire with it.

If you light the candle, it will give you light to see. You can also use it to light the newspaper without having to worry about the match going out. The candle will keep burning longer than the match and that is why you use it to light the newspaper. The newspaper then can be used to light the fire. The lamp may not light right away and the candle may not either, but the candle is most likely to light. If I am wrong, sorry. Hope this helps! :)
